Daft Punk

today were shifting gears from hard rock to electronic with todays album alive by daft punk.
this album is a live set of their best songs packed into a night of amazement packed in awesome covered in greatness. Songs like harder better are on here along with robot rock and technologic. the french duo has earned in my book the best electronia group to date. the best part about the songs is that most are sampled off of old funk albums. this adds a whole different vibe in electronic music cause it brings that foot stomping funkification that makes you stomp that foot like you killer a bug with it. Get this album if you like funky tracks.

Skid Row

This is not the hair metal skid row album your thinking of this is metal skid row. its heavy its badass. Its what you want if your a metal head. minus the hair spray this is a gem. slave to the grind will kick your ass and Sebastian bach is on point in this album. its my favorite skid row album for a good reason. and dont forget about the pumping drums and bass guitars in this. i give it and A++ for sweet riffs and bad assness

The Answer

Todays album review is about the band The Answer and their cd Rise . Their an irish rock band  but theres nothing irish about their hard hitting riffs. the band as a whole is tight and together and the riffs are great. powering up the band is really due to the singer Cormac Neeson. this guy is like a new age robert plant. He hits high ranges and hits the sweet notes just right. i first found out about these guys on guitar hero world tour. the song in the game was never too late. Its a great song and if you like classic rock these guys are like a blast from the past. Some other good songs on the album are under the sky, into the gutter memphis water and preaching. Preaching shows off Paul Mahon's slide guitar skills and you would think he grew up in the back woods of Tennessee. And of course i cant forget Micky Waters on bass and James Heatley on drums. those two fill in the missing pieces to a rising band. They have also toured with big name bands like AD/DC on there Black Ice tour. I suggest checking out their other cd Everyday Demons which is just as good if not better then Rise.

Sum 41

On the punk side of rock we have punk legend sum 41. sum hit it off in the album all killer no filler which featured the radio hit fat lip. you remember that song cause you always cranked it up when it came on the air. I think the main key in all killer was definitely due to the sweet riffs and tasty solos of dave baksh. his iron maiden like influences really seem to fuse metal with puck which is a concept i think is pretty cool. Ohh yeah dont forget about the breakdowns. if your an aspiring musician that wants to hear good breakdowns in a song this is the cd for you.

Ozzy Ozbourne

Ozzys no more tears is one of my favorite albums of all time. zakk wylde. must i say more this guys riffs on this album are amazing. the songs are diverse but all in all it flows so well. its definitely a pop and play album with out skipping a single track. the best know song of course is no more tears which is a great song but theres even better songs on this album. some of my favorites are mr. tinker train, road to nowhere, desire and my favorite oz song zombie stomp. Over all this is a killer album and if you dont own it you better own it soon.
